On March 11, 2011 a magnitude 8.9 earthquake hit
the island nation of Japan, triggering a deadly tsunami that spread
across the Pacific. The devastation didn't end there as nuclear power
plants in Japan shut down and cooling systems failed causing massive increases in radiation levels.
Three
months later, Japan is still dealing with the effects of the
Earthquake, continuing to rebuild and heal. On Saturday, June 11 we will
host the NOZOMI Art Show at the Pacific Wind Arts and Sculpture Garden
in Long Beach. Through Creativity, Culture, and Community we can
spread messages of Hope to the battered nation as well as raise funds to
help in their relief efforts.
