Art, art, and more ART....Sneak Peek

We are really excited for this Saturday, especially after seeing the art and items that are being donated. We are blessed to be working with such awesome individuals that were willing to donated their creativity, talents, and time for NOZOMI. We want the rest of you to feel our excitement. We will have over 30 pieces to auction off, but here is a sample of the items that you will be able to bid on and WIN during the event!

Name: The Sun Always Shines
For my father (Jan. 11, 1940 - May 16, 2011)
Artist: Jason Leung
Medium: Acrylic
Size: 12" x 24"
Description: I think the imagery is self-explanatory, but it's the story behind the story that holds the most meaning for me. My father passed away shortly after I started sketching this piece in May 2011, and I didn't think I'd ever want to finish painting it afterward. But then everyone started supporting me with love and giving me strength. That's when I realized that anything that matters should be about one thing -- being there for others. With compassion. With love. Being there to give strength to friends, family, strangers, entire nations. That's what this painting is about. That's what hope is about.

Name: Untitled
Artist: Sarah Lopez
Medium: Original (Display) Oil on Canvas, Print (Donated) White Carbon/Photo
Size: 36" x 36"

Name: Jets to Japan
Artist: Lynn Azali

We can't thank Mayra from Monkeyhouse Toys enough for helping us out with this Artshow! Not only did she provide us with the many Artists, but she was also kind enough to donate a whole bunch of fun items from her shop to raffle off! It was a great pleasure working with Mayra! Below are a few items to get excited about...

Geisha Pillows

Limited Edition Skateboard Decks
Instructions to bidding on Artwork: We will be selling raffle tickets for $20 during the show. Each art piece will have an envelope in front or beside it. You may bid on any piece you like by simply adding your ticket stub into the envelope of your choice. The more tickets you add, the higher your chances are for winning that piece of art. Most pieces are valued at $100 and over, so you could easily be the winner for only $20. All proceeds made from this auction will be donated to Global Givings Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund

Aside from the Artwork, you also have a the opportunity to get Sweets & Treats, Hearts & Things, and Arts & Crafts for the kids (or adults that are kids at heart). Also, don't forget to bring something to DRUM ON! We will have a Recycled Drum Circle where anyone can participate and jam!

It's going to be a fun day for a great Cause!
